INGEBORG FLORA

The Story Behind

My name is Sarah, I’m originally from England & grew up surrounded by roses, mostly making “perfume” with them or the sweetly perfumed wall of sweet peas and beds of mint in my grandparents garden. Their garden was such a happy place for me. We lived in northern England and were surrounded by countryside. One of my favorite memories as a child was visiting forests with my grandfather in Wales, where the floors were carpeted with bluebells as far as the eye could see.

Ingeborg Flora is named after my late grandmother, Ingeborg.  Inga, as she was known, met my grandfather, Joe, in Germany during WWII. They fell in love & she moved to England. I have fond memories of my Nanna being very proud of her garden, especially her recalling favorite flower, Snow Drops, which were abundant in the forest of Hanover where she was born.

Inspired by the way plants grow in the garden and their natural habitat is central to how I design and create floral art. I love to use seasonal local blooms. Knowing the farmer behind the beautiful flower makes working with them so much more special & the quality is always exceptional.

If we work together, expect me to get to know you and your family. I truly love to meet couples and their parents. It’s such a joyful & exciting time and I am the lucky one that gets to talk about one of the most beautiful things in the world, flowers.

Each design I work on is custom to the couple. I hand sketch key focal moments to help me work through the design. I heavily research your venue & am always pulling in key elements from the venue so that design feels like its part of the venue and the handwriting is harmonious.
